The BigEat returns with more of Denver’s best independent restaurants, cocktails and surprises! Expect the same level of awesomeness as last year, though. The folks from Imbibe Denver will create their foodie festival under the glass of The Galleria at the Denver Performing Arts Complex featuring bites from 40+ restaurants. Wash down bites with cocktails from Denver’s top mixologists and craft beer from their favorite breweries. Like every BigEat, expect surprises and countless fun. All to benefit EatDenver. Tickets are still available for $55, so what are you waiting for?! See you there! Fun starts at 6 p.m. tonight!
Cycle-In Cinema on Platte

Craving an outdoor movie? RSVP now! New Belgium, REI and BikeDenver are teaming up once again this summer to bring a couple classics to the REI flagship store in Denver for Cycle-In Cinema on Platte. This evening’s movie will be E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Doors at 6:45 p.m., live music starts at 7 p.m. and film starts at 8:45 p.m. Food trucks, beer, live music and a lot of great entertainment will be present! Entry is $10 at the door and all proceeds from beer and admission go to the hard work at BikeDenver!
Science on Tap – Pick Your Poison

Pick your poison! Join Dr. Chip Colwell, the Museum’s curator of anthropology, on a journey through the history of mind-altering concoctions at Science on Tap. Mingle, snack on local fare and savor signature drinks based on poison’s powerful grip throughout the centuries. This event is from 5:30-9 p.m. and museum members save $10 on the ticket price ($40 for non-members). There will be a limited number of tickets at the door this evening as well, but I’d buy online to be safe.

Last month, the Illegal Pete’s team spent the day brewing an exclusive beer with Odell Brewing Co. The beer is a Meyer Lemon Blonde Ale and it’s a delicious, super sessionable brew, clocking in at 5.2 percent ABV.

Avon’s Flavors of Colorado Festival

From Friday through Sunday, head up to Avon to enjoy the annual Flavors of Colorado festival. This fest celebrates the local flair for food, drinks, music and art. This is an open-air market that is free to attend. However, the first night of the fest features a Farm to Chef’s Table dinner that is $100 a ticket. The Beast Batch No. 13 Release @ Avery Brewing

The Beast Batch No. 13 coalesces up from the shadows this Friday. Bottles and draft will be available starting at 5 p.m. at Avery Brewing’s taproom. They’ll also celebrate this first installation of their Demons of Ale series by offering vintages of The Beast from Adam Avery’s cellar!
Duck & Cover – Alzheimer’s Donation Event

Friday, join the folks from Former Future for an intimate evening of live music, brought to you by Duck & Cover–the masters of unespected mashups and acoustic covers. Duck & Cover will be donating 100 percent of all tips to the Alzheimer’s Association and the FF team will also be donating a portion of the day’s proceeds. Join them at 7 p.m. to make a difference!
Buffalo Trace Barrel Mexican Chocolate Stout Bottle Release
Copper Kettle Brewing Co., 1338 S. Valentia St. #100
This is a very limited bottle release, so be prepared! The Copper Kettle team will only have one keg and ten cases for the tasting room, so you will definitely not want to miss this one! The beer is CK’s Mexican Chocolate Stout aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for four months. This is a limited edition bottle release as well, found only in the CKBC tasting room and at Mile High Wine and Spirits. The Hamborghini food truck out with burgers at 5 p.m.

Rendezvous at the Rock

Live in Castle Rock and want access to over 25 breweries all in one place? Well, you’re in luck this Saturday from 1-5 p.m. at the annual Rendezvous at the Rock. VIP tickets are $50, general admission is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Non-drinkers can get in for $10. Ticket includes entry for one to the fest, a commemorative tasting cup (not available to non-drinker ticket holders), a 10 percent discount on food at Rockyard Brewing Company and access to live local music at the festival.
