Ratio Beerworks’ New Wave release party and karaoke session is going down this Thursday at Star Bar. Grab a pint and rock the mic! Come hang out with Ratio at Star Bar for the first outside tapping of “New Wave” at 8 p.m. New Wave is their new strawberry berliner weisse and is pure deliciousness. Star Bar also has karaoke going down that night, so start warming up them pipes! Hope to see you there!

Le Sony’r Ra Petite Saison Release @ Spangalang Brewery

Spangalang Brewery, 2736 Welton St.

At noon on Thursday, Spangalang Brewery will release Le Sony’r Ra, the first in a series of “wild/brett” beers they will be releasing throughout the next couple months. Le Sony’r Ra is a petite saison (4.5 percent ABV), fermented first with a French Saison yeast, after which a culture of Brettanomyces was pitched. The resulting beer is super refreshing and dry, with subtle but distinct earthy and cherry pie like aromas. On both Thursday and Friday, Zivix at Spangalang will be serving a special cheese board that pairs perfectly with the new beer.

8th Annual July 2nd Fireworks Celebration

Join local vendors, breweries and the community that surrounds Whole Foods Market on Colorado Boulevard at the Eighth Annual July Second Fireworks Celebration! The City of Glendale is holding their annual firework display on Thursday, and they are kicking off the party before the fireworks with Colorado craft beer, a local vendor village and a killer menu put together by WFM in-house chefs. Fun starts at 5:30 p.m. in their parking lot!

Baere Brewing Co. First Anniversary Weekend Party

The amazing folks at Baere have been making some fine brews for a year now, and they want to give back to the people who’ve supported them along the way. Starting Friday at noon through Sunday, they’ll be releasing a number of special anniversary beers. Friday’s beers will include Wine Barrel Imperial Stout, Barrel Hoppy Brown Batch 4 from Laws Whiskey House Barrel 121, Sour Brown Ale and their Anniversary Small Sour Ale. Saturday will be twice as sour, too. 

Dry Hopped Rhubarb Tart Release @ Black Shirt

The folks at Black Shirt employed the souring bacteria Lactobacillus on the hot side of brewing to give their dry-hopped rhubarb tart–a predominantly wheat-based beer–a refreshing tartness that is perfect for hot summer days. After fermentation, they conditioned it atop loads of rhubarb and then dry-hopped it with El Dorado hops. Expect this rare beer to appear in the tap room only starting at 5 p.m. on Friday.

TRVE Brewing Releases First Beer from The Acid Temple – Life’s Trade

The badass folks from TRVE Brewing will unveil the first bottled offering from the now fully operational Acid Temple. Over a year in the making, TRVE is elated to have their new brewery dedicated to wilds, sours, and all other funk-forward beers up and running. Zengo will be serving a chef special with $7 Firecracker Wings (spicy, crispy chicken wings) that includes five large wings. One Year Anniversary and July Release @ Casey Brewing

The folks from Casey Brewing and Blending will be releasing four new blends for their anniversary this Saturday starting at 11-6 p.m.! The Low End ($5), Brett Loves Citra ($6), Dry Hop Oak Theory Amarillo and Simcoe ($8), The Cut: Montmorency Cherry ($12) and many other vintage bottles from their cellar will be available for purchase. At 4 p.m., Troy Casey himself will be giving a sample of something fun currently in the works. It could be a taste of a beer coming out next month, it could be a beer actively fermenting on fruit. Whatever it is, Troy will talk more in depth about the process and answer your questions.

They’ll also have summer sangria and New Belgium beers to quench your thirst.
