Denver Botanic Gardens’ 2015 Unwind

Thursday is the new Friday at the Gardens this summer! Join the lovely folks over at the Denver Botanic Gardens during select Thursdays during each month this season to enjoy the botany, “red carpet” popcorn bar, drinks and more. Tickets are sold out for this Unwind already, but you can plan ahead for July and or August now! Event usually goes from 6-9 p.m.

June Beer & Cheese Pairing @ Copper Kettle

Every month, the cheese-lovers over at Copper Kettle hold a beer and cheese pairing hosted in partnership with The Truffle Cheese Shop. Ticket price is $20 and includes four artisan cheeses, four beer samples, bread and fresh fruit. They hold the event in their private event center with an intimate feel, personalized with CK’s head brewer and a professional cheesemonger from the Truffle Cheese Shop. Another year, another awesome anniversary party by Great Divide! Join the Great Divide team for the 21st Anniversary party at their second location on Brighten Boulevard. The shindig is from 2-6 p.m. and you’ll have access to unlimited pours of Great Divide beer, a food ticket for a generous snack from a Denver food vendor, live music from the likes of the Gin Doctors and A. Tom Collins and much, much more! Sadly, tickets are already sold out for this event, so better luck next year!

Once again, it’s time to prepare for the BIGGEST ASS TAP TAKEOVER with Avery Brewing Co. The Parry’s folks don’t joke around with this event because every year, it’s freaking serious! So much so that there will be four locations taking part in this year’s event. They’ll be throwing this BIG ASS party at their locations in Northglenn, Highlands Ranch, Greenwood Village and Castle Rock. Show up with a full stomach, plans for a designated driver, kids and dogs being taken care of by someone other than you and a helluva good time in the sun. Avery Brewing Company reps will be at every location and a hologram of Adam Avery himself will be greeting everyone that walks through the door (not really, but he will be at the Highlands Ranch and Northglenn locations, in person.)

BrewGrass 2015

What happens when you mix a warm summer afternoon, ice-cold draft beer and some fun, funky music? You get BrewGrass! South Pearl Street will be closed and featuring a stage at the northern end of the block and farmers market vendors, craft beer brewers, and some local blues bands rocking it into the night. Entering its ninth year, the music festival has become a neighborhood tradition and a real shindig. The question remains–is it a music festival with really good beer or a beer festival with really good music? That’s for you to decide. Entrance will be $5 collected at the gate. Event is cash only!

Limited Secale Rye Whiskey Release

Laws Whiskey House, 1420 S. Acoma St.

Starting at noon on Sunday, Laws Whiskey House will be releasing their long-awaited limited Secale Rye Whiskey to the public! A.D. Laws Secale Straight Rye whiskey is 100% Colorado made. This sour mash, twice distilled spirit is aged three years in heavily charred new American white oak barrels. The recipe is 95 percent rye, five percent barley and 100 percent Colorado. They are offering a small batch 100 proof rye and limited bottles of 10 different single barrel cask strength expressions. Each guest will be limited to one bottle of each per visit. Want to try this whiskey earlier this weekend? A few restaurants and bars already carry the stuff, so go and checkout any of these places and wet your whistle.

Brewhouse Yoga

Alpine Dog Brewing Company, 1505 Ogden St.

Every Thursday, the folks of Alpine Dog Brewing and registered yoga teacher Danielle Numis hold a one-hour long yoga class inside the brewery taproom. Class starts at 10:30 a.m. and costs $15 for the session plus a beer afterward. You can also receive $1 off for any other beers purchased.

Colorado Cider Fourth Anniversary Party

The folks over at Colorado Cider Co. are celebrating more than just turning four–they’re also celebrating the fact that they are releasing 12 ounce four-packs of Glider, Glider Dry, Cherry Glider and Grasshop-Ah! Now your summer just became 10 times more exciting, right? From 1-5 p.m., they will have games, food trucks and drink specials all centered around the “four” theme to celebrate.
