Colorado Craft For A Cause

Seven recognized Colorado homebrewers are coming together in the heart of the RiNo Art District to pour their delicious creations and help raise money for an amazing cause. Sip great beer, sign up for silent auction goodies from around RiNo, and learn how you can support mental wellbeing in Myanmar. Proceeds from the event will benefit Denver-based NGO SalusWorld, dedicated to the well-being of individuals and communities recovering from conflict and emergencies through innovative mental health interventions. Cool Lime Lager Bomber Release in the Canoe Room

Dry Dock – North Dock, 2801 Tower Rd, Aurora

The Cool Lime Lager is back; this time in 22-ounce bombers! North Dock will release this beer at the Canoe Room at 7 p.m. where it will be on draft and available for sale in bombers. This beer will be on tap at South Dock beginning the first week of May.

Oyster & Stout Festival – Oysters, Beer & The Naked CowboyDenver Beer Company, 1695 Platte St.

Denver Beer Co, Seattle Fish Co. and the Blue Island Oyster Company have teamed up to brew a delicious oyster stout. It was brewed with live Naked Cowboy oysters from the Blue Island Oyster Company. From 1-5 p.m., they will be pairing this briny brew with oysters from both coasts at their Platte St Taproom. In attendance will be oyster farmers from the east coast and the west coast as well as the namesake of the oysters we brewed with, the Naked Cowboy himself. Shucking Competition will occur at 3 p.m.!

BrüFrou – craft beer + culinary pairings

There are few events that match BrüFrou in its dedication to pairing well-made beers with quality food ingredients, but that’s what this event in particular is all about! There are two BrüFrou sessions, from 1-4 p.m. and from 5-8 p.m. New this year are two huge elements: an outdoor BrüFaire of all-local artisan food vendors that’s free and open to the public from noon to 7 p.m.; and TastyTålks, a separate, pre-tasting expert forum covering such subjects as whole-animal butchery and pairing philosophies.

Join the party people of Comrade Brewing as they celebrate their first year anniversary! They’ll be pouring from 20 taps, including saved kegs of: Eisenhower American Strong Golden, Leroy American Brown, Red Dawn American Red and Quit Stalin Russian Imperial Stout! Also making a debut, their barrel-aged beers: Whiskey Barrel Aged Man Oar-Board Scotch Ale and Bourbon Barrel Aged Quit Stalin Russian Imperial Stout. Growler fills are available for all the beers. Led Zeppelin “Physical Graffiti” Dinner

It’s the 40th anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s classic double-album “Physical Graffiti,” and at Beast + Bottle, that’s reason to celebrate. Join them for a four-course meal that will be sure to delight the tastebuds and ears of Led Zeppelin fans. The dinner is $56, and wine pairings are an additional $21. Insula multos Collibus Release Party

Avery Brewing Co., 4910 Nautilus Ct, Boulder

No. 27 in Avery’s Barrel-Aged Series and coming in at 9.7 percent ABV, the release of Insula multos Collibus is not something you should miss. They used their house Brett (Drie) for secondary fermentation and their house pediococcus and lactobacillus for souring to produce the cleanest sour beer they could to give the barrels center stage! The result was a dark red, strong sour beer that they aged in fresh Bourbon barrels for nine months and fermented with cherries. To celebrate, Avery will be throwing a four-course dinner paired with four beers. For more information on how you can celebrate or get your hands on this brew, check out their Facebook event page!

Shoes & Brews with bRUNch
