Falling Rock’s Chris Black has once again teamed up with Justin Lloyd at Star Bar to blend their special beer with Lauren Salazar up at New Belgium for Rock Star Part Deux! The ultimate Collaboration Blend to kick of Colorado Craft Beer Week the night before the Collaboration Fest, so go get some!

Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA Release Party

Odell Brewing Co will be releasing Tree Shaker, their Imperial Peach IPA in four-packs in the taproom. Join Odell for their weekend release party. They will have cheese pairings for purchase (while supplies last) and live music on Sunday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Epic Brewing Company Beer Dinner

The Spruce Tap House on 24th and Blake are having Epic Brewing Company out for a beer dinner this Friday. Four courses, four beers including Epic’s new collab with Devil’s Backbone. Collaboration Fest is finally here again! You’ve been hearing about all of the amazing partnerships and beer in the works, now it’s time to finally enjoy what sweet, sweet collaboration tastes like! And yes, tickets are already sold out, but thankfully for those you without tickets, there will be plenty good beer flowing around town thanks to Colorado Craft Beer Week!

River North FarmHouse Release Party

The folks over at River North have done it again. Welcome the release of FarmHouse, a 4.6 percent ABV Belgian session beer that will join the ranks amongst River North’s other canned brews. This beer delivers every bit of character you’ve come to love from them while quenching that insatiable Colorado thirst for kick-ass session beers. Brewed with only two grains, one hop and one of our favorite ale strains, FarmHouse showcases the beauty of Belgian yeast. The first tapping of FarmHouse will go down at 1 p.m. in the taproom. Super-portable four-packs to-go will cost $10, with drafts by the pint as well.

Mash n’ Jam, a Denver-based spent grain bakery, will have cookies made from Dry Dock’s Double IPA and Irish Stout spent grain for sale. Cheers to the #stateofcraftbeer! Also, every Saturday, Canoe Room at North Dock taps a specialty firkin at noon. This week, the folks at North Dock are noticing that the Leprechauns are sad that St. Patrick’s Day is over as they tap Leprechaun Tears! Taps at noon.

COCBW: Odell Brewing Hop Seminar

Scott Dorsch, the hop expert of Odell Brewing, will be in the house (of Freshcraft) starting at 3 p.m. to talk hops and more hops! Flights of four experimental hop pale ales will also be poured to pair along with this seminar. Seating is limited, so arrive early and grab lunch!

Reel Big Stout Release Party

Denver Bicycle Company, 1308 E. 17th Ave.

The party people over at Denver Bicycle Cafe are releasing the collaboration Wynkoop/Ska/Reel Big Fish beer from 2-10 p.m.! It’s a whammy of an oak-aged Russian imperial stout coming in at 10 percent ABV. They also have 10 beers from both Wynkoop and Ska and food from The Cluck Truck and Barbed Wire Reef! Enjoy music by Denver Vintage Reggae Society and The Dendrites, too! Come get in on the raffle to benefit Trips for Kids Denver and get the chance to win a bike frame from Ellsworth Handcrafted Bicycles!

Beers and Bears – Berthoud’s Alex Sabados Day of Caring

City Star Brewing, 321 Mountian Ave., Berthoud

In honor of Alex Sabados, City Star is donating $1 for EVERY beer sold ALL day from noon to 9 p.m. to purchase gas cards for families traveling to and from the Children’s Hospital for oncology treatments. City Star is also accepting donations of new teddy bears to be delivered to the Children’s Hospital. A little backgroun: Alex Sabados was a 13-year-old Berthoud resident who died of cancer on March 24, 2010. Alex was remarkable for his courage and enduring legacy. The Town of Berthoud, CO proclaimed March 24 of each year “Alex Sabados Day of Caring” in memory of an amazing young man who touched many lives.
