Former Future’s First Anniversary Celebration
Former Future Brewing Company, 1290 S. Broadway
It’s a One-Year Birthday Party Extravaganza at Former Future this weekend! Come celebrate with these crazy awesome folks starting today at 2 p.m.! Here’s the lineup:
Friday: From 2-11 p.m., enjoy FF’s super special, super high gravity ale Cat Sabbath at a WHOPPING +20 percent ABV and dress up in your best speakeasy garb! There will also be beer ‘cocktails’ and swingin’ tunes all night long!
Saturday: It’s ‘Funk & Soul through the Outrageous 80s’ night as well as a new firkin tapped every hour. Starting at 3 p.m., taste a PB&J Salted Caramel Porter; followed by a Double Oatmeal Stout; Grapefruit Dandyman; Almond Chocolate Salted Porter; Chilehouse Ultra (a five pepper Cream Ale); Putin on Le Pitz (a cherry Belgian Imperial Stout) and Jumpseat (a special sneak peak at the next beer from Black Project Spontaneous Ales with another another Wild Ale, dry-hopped with Citra, Equinox and Mosaic!
Sunday: All day, enjoy some Corvus Coffee beers! There will be Countinghouse with La Mision, Midnight Mosey with Worksop, Salted Caramel Porter with Esmeralda and Putin on the Fritz with Toda. There will also be a recovery brunch provided by Maria Empanada and cartoons on the projector from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.!
Second Annual Northwest Beer & Wine Fest

The Northwest Beer & Wine Fest benefits North High School and Skinner Middle School and will feature a ‘Battle of the Bands’ concert. There will also be generous beer and wine samples from local breweries and wineries. Locations include: Joyride Brewing Company, Bonacquisti Wine Company, Colorado Plus Brewpup, Lost Highway Brewing Company, Rykers Cellar, Diebolt Brewing Company, Epic Brewing, Dry Dock Brewing Company, Colorado Cider Company and more!
Pride of Palisade Draft and Bottle Release
Powder Keg Brewing Company, 101 2nd Ave., Niwot
Brewmaster Phil Joyce and the gang at Powder Keg are releasing their second bottled offering to the masses starting at 2 p.m. today. It’s called ‘Pride of Palisade’ and is a farmhouse style ale fermented with honey, peaches and Brettanomyces. Phil is proud to have sourced all the ingredients for this beer from Colorado. Barley and wheat came from the Colorado Malting Company in Alamosa, clover honey from the Colorado Honey Man in Longmont, and 600 pounds of Palisade peaches from Ela Family Farms. Makes you want it to be summer already, doesn’t it? Go get your hands on some, stat!

Day One of Denver Passport Program’s Winter Warmer

The Winter Warmer is a six-week exploration program (February 1 – March 15) of the coziest bars, restaurants, and breweries. The program is the same as the other Denver Passport Program: the book grants you 2-for-1 drinks at each location. Barkeeps will stamp your passport at each stop. Once you have stamped a location, you can no longer redeem at that location. Collect them all! Participating venues are: Argyll Whisky Beer, Atticus, Blackbird, Cart-Driver, Colt & Gray / Saint Ellie, Harman’s Eat & Drink, Humboldt Farm, Fish & Wine, Jefferson Park Pub, Linger, Mockery Brewing, Our Mutual Friend Tenth Acre & Brewery, Root Down, Russell’s Smokehouse, Station 26 Brewing Co., Stout Street Social, The Cherry Cricket, The Kitchen Next Door, The Populist, The Squeaky Bean, and TRVE Brewing.

It’s that time of the year once again, stout lovers! All five Mountain Sun establishments: Mountain Sun, Southern Sun and Under the Sun in Boulder, the Vine Street Pub & Brewery in Denver and Longs Peak Pub in Longmont will be hosting their month long celebration of all things dark and roasty and toasty. You’ll find at least 12 different stouts on tap at each location at all times with new ones appearing almost daily.
