Winter Brew Fest

The Winter Brew Fest, going both today and Saturday, will celebrate craft beverages from around Colorado and beyond and features; live local music, food and other vendors. This event benefits Swallow Hill Music Association and lasts from 7-10 p.m. each day. You can get your tickets up until 4 p.m. today!
‘Arse Over Elbows’ Release at Alpine Dog

One of the newest additions to the Capitol Hill brewery scene, Alpine Dog Brewing, will be releasing its ‘Arse Over Elbows’ ESB today. 5280 Sliders will also be on sight to provide the grub while you imbibe. The brewery is open from 3 p.m. to midnight, so don’t miss out!
Double IPA, Ilium, Tapping @ Our Mutual Friend

OMF‘s first ever double IPA, Ilium, taps this Friday at 2 p.m.! It’s ridiculously hopped with CTZ, Nugget, & Willamette, then dry hopped (1lb per barrel) with Cascade & Centennial. This is sure to please even the hoppiest of hoping hop heads.

Brewed Coffee & Beer Workshop

Join the folks from Epic Brewing starting at 10 a.m. as they explore the confluence of where beer and coffee meet. Local coffee roasters and local brewers will be on hand to discuss what they’re doing individually and lead in what promises to be an eye opening and smile inducing tasting experience. This will be a workshop style event with time to blend your own coffee/beer combinations. Ticket cost includes coffee, beer and light snacks. Breakfast will NOT be served, so they recommend eating before the event starts.

2015 Vintage Beer Sale

From noon to 5 p.m., the glorious LoDo/Ballpark taphouse will be cleaning house and you get to benefit from it! Join Falling Rock on Saturday to see what vintage bottles they’re selling (there will most likely be 2-3 bottles of each, so things will go fast). As a reminder, these bottles are for drinking on site, not to take home for your cellar collection. So grab a some tasty food and settle in; it’s going to be an awesome ride.

Swing in for a New Year’s ‘Break Your’ Resolution Party on Saturday from 2 p.m. to close at Chain Reaction. They are dedicating this day to nothing but good times, good people, good food and great beer! They will be tapping their latest barrel aged beer “Chardonnay Barrel Aged Pink Peppercorn Saison” along with a few other new, tasty beers. They will also have Rocky Mountain Slices down slinging pizza for the event! This is one that you don’t want to miss out on so mark your calendar with a map to Chain Reaction Brewing!

Beer Can Appreciation Day just so happens to fall on the first day that Dry Dock started canning its beer. Join Dry Dock at Canoe Room at North Dock for the two-year anniversary of Dry Dock’s canned offerings—raffle prizes, food, and live music included. Every Saturday, Canoe Room at North Dock taps a specialty firkin at noon. Head on over for a fresh twist on the lager during Dry Dock’s CANniversary party to celebrate two years of the brewery’s canned offerings!

From 5-9 p.m., join Argyll for an annual Scottish celebration! Burn’s Night commemorates the life of the bard Robert Burns on his birthday with traditional foods, drinks, dancing, drinks, toasts, drinks, addresses, and general merriment. And drinks. Argyll Chef John Broening is planning a special dinner menu, complete with an elevated, ahem, edible variation of the traditional Scottish haggis, Cullen Skink, an oat salad, and a cocktail dubbed the Bobby Burns, all prepared for diners interested in a culinary and cultural celebration of Scotland. The evening will include readings, poetry, dancing and a Celtic band providing entertainment for the evening. And there will be beer.
