Brew at the Zoo

A favorite for beer connoisseurs, Brew At The Zoo will celebrate its 17th anniversary starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature 40 of Colorado’s local breweries and 20 local restaurants. Enjoy samples of old favorites or try a new, different brew. From porters to pale ales, the evening is a great opportunity to try some of the best beers of Colorado–you might just find a new favorite!

The first annual VIVA LYONS will take place at 5 p.m. in Bohn Park. Presented by Oskar Blues Brewery and featuring a special performance by Grammy-nominated bluegrass-rock band The Infamous Stringdusters, VIVA LYONS will be an event of remembrance, marking the one-year anniversary of the devastating floods that caused great damage throughout the Colorado Front Range, and celebration, saluting the resilience and rebuilding efforts of hard-hit towns like Lyons. In addition, as a show of its resilience, Oskar Blues will also be debuting a special limited-release flood anniversary brew–High & Dry IPA. Get your hands on some and show your pride for the great state you reside in!

Denver Beer Co. Harvest Party

Denver Beer Co. is celebrating too great things: Harvest Week and the grand opening of their new production facility, Canworks! Join them either at their Platte Street taproom by 1:45 p.m. to bike ride with the crew to the new spot, or just meet everyone in the parking lot of the Jason Street location at 2 p.m.! Tickets are $30 and include all-you-can-drink beer and a chunk of roasted pig! DBC will be debuting their new HEY! PUMPKIN in cans for you to try, too.

Governor’s Residence at Boettcher Mansion, 400 E. 8th Ave.

Join Brews and Bites for an afternoon of food, drink and fun in “Colorado’s Home,” the beautiful Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion. Enjoy tastes of the Colorado Brewers Guild member’s masterfully crafted beer paired with the culinary creations of the chefs of the Colorado Chefs Association while wandering the rooms and gardens of the residence. The proceeds raised from your ticket purchase will benefit the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund, a 501(c)3 dedicated to preserving the historic location in perpetuity of the people of Colorado to enjoy.

It’s Broncos season, and that means it’s time for events centered around watching your favorite team dominate the field while drinking good beer! Station 26 Brewing Co.’s September Bluegrass Brunch is just about here with live music from Chain Station, donuts from Glazed and Confuzed Doughnuts, and barbecue from Rolling Smoke BBQ! The Broncos kick off at 2:25 p.m., so expect to have the party going throughout the afternoon!
