This week kicks off the official start to the summer and what is better than enjoying a cold one outside in the sunshine? Day drinking on patios is one of my favorite summer hobbies. With so many options what are the not-to-miss spots to drink in the sunshine? To answer this question I asked my fellow Wagoners and here is our list of the best patios to drink on this summer.

Historian’s Ale House (24 Broadway #102)
Located on Broadway, Historian’s Ale House’s patio has some awesome views of downtown and the mountains. With more than 40 beers on tap, your thirst will be quenched and your tan will sparkle.

Denver Beer Co. (1695 Platte Street)
If you want to sit on the patio at Denver Beer Co. make sure to get there early. This patio is perhaps one of the most popular patios in town. With easy access from just about anywhere in the city, this is a great place to start a bike pub crawl. Your four-legged friends are welcome too!

ViewHouse (2015 Market Street)
Walking distance to Coors Field, ViewHouse is a great place to drink before a game or on a Sunday Funday. With nine cabanas and lawn games like volleyball and corn hole, you can get in some physical activity while sipping on infused cocktails.

Linger (2030 W. 30th Ave)

The view from this patio might be changing due to the new construction, but this patio is one of the best places for brunch and happy hour. The bar is an old VW van and the old O’Linger sign shines down on you like the sun.

Lowdown Brewery (800 Lincoln Street)
This brewery may have just opened but they already built a patio. Sit back with a cold brewski and laugh at everyone stuck in traffic on Lincoln.

The Rooftop at Coors Field (2001 Blake Street)
If you haven’t been to a Rockies game yet and been up to the rooftop, go now. Located on the upper rightfield deck, the 38,000-square-foot, two-tiered space is home to several bars  serving up craft beers and local spirits. This standing-room-only section of Coors Field is a great place to hang, drink and watch the game.

The Cove at Star Bar (2137 Larimer Street)
Boozesicles. Couches. Really good drinks. Boozesciles. Movies on Wednesday nights and Game of Thrones on Sundays (well, not until next season). If you want to learn more about how the Wagon feels about the The Cove at Star Bar read this.

Acorn/Comida at The Source (3350 Brighton Blvd)
For brunch, lunch, happy hour or dinner this is a great spot to dine. Stop by at 11:30 a.m. for the perfect amount of sunshine. The sun will just be peering over.

Black Shirt Brewing Company (3719 Walnut Street)
Spend time outdoors in Black Shirt’s Beer Garden. Yes, beer garden. This is a patio where you will literally hang out all day long.

Local 46 (4586 Tennyson Street)
They have giant Connect Four! And a biergarten. Surrounded by green trees you will feel like you are sitting in your backyard, just better.

Ignite (2124 Larimer Street)
Looking for a great brunch, happy hour and dinner patio? Stop by Ignite’s rooftop. Make sure to order the Man Candy and mimosas. The mimosa flavors change by the hour and have seasonal flavors like huckleberry.

Ale House at Amato’s (2501 16th Street)
Located in LoHi, Ale House at Amato’s is a great place to grab a beer and chill this summer. With Breckenridge and Wynkoop beers on tap, you know you will have a great time.

The Populist (3163 Larimer Street)
Who doesn’t love to dine in the garden? Surrounded by ivy walls and tea lights, The Populist is great for date nights or happy hour.

Illegal Pete’s on Broadway (270 South Broadway)
Head to Broadway and grab some lunch at Illegal Pete’s. This awesome outdoor spot is a great place to enjoy a burrito and a margarita.

Enjoy the sunshine and the drinks this summer!
