Fresh Taps: May 7th – May 13th (2014)

Welcome to Fresh Taps. Each week Shea collects the most promising lineup of new and returning beers hitting taprooms and tasting rooms all over the state.

If you’re looking for more new brews from new breweries, you’re in luck again this week! 4 Noses Brewing is doing a soft opening at its new Broomfield taproom on Thursday and 38 State Brewing is opening their doors in Littletwon with a Grand Opening shindig on Saturday. But don’t forget those already here! Strange, Crabtree, Crystal Springs are all celebrating anniversaries this week. And Fort Collins Beer Week kicks off on the 11th.

Shea’s Spotlight Tappings

Each week I’ll pick a few tappings that catch my eye, and taste buds.

City Star Brewing in Berthoud just finished celebrating its second anniversary, but they’re not taking a break. On Monday they’ll be releasing a beer that’s sure to please both fruit beer and rye beer fans – a Raspberry Rye Saison. If you’re up in the North Front Range, stop by to try what ought to be an interesting and tasty treat.

It may be listed as a Soft Opening, but there’s nothing soft about the beer lineup at 4 Noses Brewing this Thursday. They’ll have at least 7 beers on tap, including a Coffee & Vanilla Bean Imperial Stout and a nitro Imperial Stout. See below for more details.

I have been checking Fresh Taps on a weekly basis. It is so much easier, and more accurate, than going to multiple brewery Facebook pages.
