Infinite Monkey Theorem, 3200 Larimer St.
First Fridays in RiNo kick back up today at Infinite Monkey Theorem, with Chef Kelly Whitaker from Basta and the soon-to-open Cart Driver serving up slices of Napolitano-style pizza from his mobile wood-burning oven, along with Peteybird Icecream Sandwiches. DJ Ejay Toldeo will kick off the first of the series tomorrow. Free admission, doors open 6 p.m.
Churchill’s Public House, 1560 Boulder St.
Today and throughout May, this LoHi pub is serving up a free pint with its daily lunch specials, just because they feel like it. If you have to abstain, they’ll give you a raincheck instead.
Tamayo, 1400 Larimer St. (All Weekend)
Richard Sandoval’s modern Mexican fixture in Larimer Square kickstarts Cinco de Mayo with an extended happy hour all weekend. The staff will also be giving away free drinks from 7-9 p.m., and there’ll be a DJ on the terrace during weekend brunch. (Of course, the fun will continue on Monday, so stay tuned).
Clement Park, Littleton
The South Denver Beer Festival features over 60 breweries, both local and national. Guests will have the opportunity to sample over 120 beers and vote for their favorites in a variety of categories. The festival will also feature a special VIP section devoted to local distillers, chocolate and cheese producers. Did I mention that there’s a beard/stache competition, too? Ch’yeah. Get ready, fellas.
BookCliff Vineyards, 1501 Lee Hill Rd. #17, Boulder
This Boulder winery invites you to either seating of a five-course dinner prepared by Black Cat Bistro’s Eric Skokan and paired with its bottlings and current barrel samples. Courses include grilled quail and pork ragu over polenta in a green-peppercorn sauce.
ViewHouse Eatery, 2015 Market St.
It’s time to get crazy for Cinco de Mayo with Cinco de Drinko! Online registration has closed, but in person at ViewHouse both ticket options include one drink (draft or well) at each bar, and a souvenir sombrero and mustache. You also have the option to enter the Cinco de Drinko Team Challenge and compete for awesome prizes with your team of 2-10 friends. Afterwards, head to the Ginn Mill to kick off the after party for the Cinco de Drinko Awards Ceremony and costume contest!
Loveland Aleworks, 118 West 4th St., Loveland
It’s going to be a sunny weekend, so there’s no excuse now to not break out the cruiser and go drink some pints! Join Cruise 4 Brews at Loveland Aleworks (or at any point during the crawl) to receive a wristband and get discounts at each stop. It’s a great way to work on those calve muscles while drinking.
Falling Rock Taphouse, 1919 Blake St.
As a part of Stone Brewing’s Spotlight Series, they are letting the winners of their contest tour the nation slinging their award-winning Spröcket Bier, a Kolsch-style black rye, and they’re making a stop at Freshcraft. Come meet the two crafty dudes and raise a cold one with them! Tapping happens at 6:30 p.m.
City Star Brewing, 321 Mountain Ave., Berthoud
City Star Brewing has gloriously made it to their second year making tasty beer and serving up good times, so they’re celebrating by throwing a big ol’ Hootenanny for it. The Oskar Blues Bonewagon truck with be there to fill your bellies, too.
