Preview – New Kids on the Block

The ’80s. A time remembered so fondly by many of us Denverites of drinking age.  A simpler time, one filled with bodacious fashion, radical sitcoms, and tubular rock ballads that will never go out of style.

Colorado Craft Beer Week is almost upon us, and in celebration of the best decade ever, and the best beer city in the world, Denver off the Wagon, Imbibe, The Lobby, and will be hosting the 2nd annual New Kids on the Block Beer Festival. A picture is worth 1,000 words, so be sure to check out photos from last year’s event.

The event showcases some of Denver’s best breweries under 2-years-old, including:

Big Choice Brewing
Brewery Rickoli
CAUTION: Brewing Company
Elevation Beer Company
FATE Brewing Company
Former Future Brewing Company
Front Range Brewing Co.
Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew
Prost Brewing Co.
Station 26 Brewing Co.
TRVE Brewing
Verboten Brewing
West Flanders Brewing Co.
Westminster Brewing Co.

The party will start at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27th and will be held at The Lobby, located at 2191 Arapahoe Street.  VIP ticket holders will gain access to the festivities an hour earlier.  A portion of the proceeds of the event will go to the Colorado Brewer’s Guild and both regular and VIP tickets can be purchased at for $25 and $45, respectively.

Besides an excuse to reach into the back of your closet and don your old 80s’ duds (you know you still have them) you’ll gain access to unlimited beer tasting, a beer-themed buffet, and a costume contest (so don’t half-ass it!).

So grab your neon windbreaker, peg your jeans (acid-wash of course), throw on your high-tops or jellies and get ready to take it to the max!
