Circle the Wagons. Denver off the Wagon turns 3. So we will party.

Thank you.

Thank you for letting us write about booze for three years straight. Thank you for reading what we write, sharing what you like, and most of all, for patronizing the best local bars, breweries, wineries, distilleries, restaurants, liquor stores, and all the rest that make this place so damn special. Thank you to our advertisers for keeping the servers running. Thank you to our writers for writing the words, and to our photographers for taking incredible beer porn, among other things. Thank you.

For the past three years, we’ve been waxing on about how good the booze scene is in Denver, where we like to have a good drink, and what we think is coming next. Once a year, however, it’s time to turn the focus inward, touch some glasses together, and toast to the Wagon.

Denver off the Wagon stumbled into the world on February 23, 2011. We’ve had a lot of fun over the past three years, and we like to celebrate the passing of each year with a beer and a bar crawl. We brewed Wagon Ryed with Wynkoop for our first birthday and some Dubbel Entendre Fisting with Denver Beer Co. for number two.

This year, we brewed Circle the Wagons, a French saison finished with wine yeast, with TRVE Brewing Company. The beer comes in around 7% ABV,  is incredibly delicious and perfect for this not-quite-winter, not-quite-spring time of year.

Circle the Wagons officially releases this Thursday, February 20th, at 6pm at TRVE (227 Broadway). We’ll be at the brewery enjoying tulip glasses full of Circle the Wagons for $5. You can also find Circle the Wagons at Star Bar, Stapleton Tap House, and a few other places to be announced.

Saturday, February 22nd, we’ll go on a stroll. A bar crawl, if you will. Starting at 2 p.m., we’ll make our way through RiNo and Five Points, ending at Star Bar (2137 Larimer). Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to find us, as the schedule is absolutely going to change. In fact, we’re not even going to release the schedule ’til Thursday. But mark your calendars and join us for frivolity, a nice walk, and a bunch of sweet discounts.

Here’s a Facebook event for the crawl.
