New Belgium Brewing kicks off its three-stop Scavenge tour in Colorado with the first event taking place at Arapahoe Basin on Saturday, February 15. Now in its eighth year, the Scavenge tour is where skiers, snowboarders and beer lovers come together to enjoy some great on-mountain fun while raising money for various causes.
What exactly is New Belgium’s Scavenge? It’s a day-long event where participants search the mountain for moving and stationary clues that focus on New Belgium’s beer and culture, sustainability, and questions about each host mountain and charitable organization.
Teams can have one to four people, and can consist of longtime friends or that wicked awesome bro you met in the lift line. And, like any good American game, (read in a John Madden voice) the team that scores the most points wins.
Each Scavenge will have a post-hunt celebration where participants unite for the awards ceremony and enjoy the release of New Belgium’s new Snapshot Wheat. The event only costs $10 per person in addition to the price of a lift ticket (which helps the nonprofits, so it’s a good cause).
The first Scavenge hunt will take place at Arapahoe Basin on Feb. 15, with subsequent stops at Eldora on March 8, and finishing up the Colorado dates at Loveland on March 29.
