[Weekend off the Wagon in your inbox every Friday – Sign up now!]
It’s the weekend once again, isn’t it glorious?
Friday, if you’re in Castle Rock and wanted in on the ugly sweater fun everyone else was having, you’re finally in luck. Parry’s Pizza heard your cries and is throwing one last horrendous woolen party for your benefit tonight with tappings of some impressive barrel-aged beers starting at 5:30 p.m.
Coffee in stouts and porters was a match made in heaven, most would say, but what other styles could coffee be fantastic in? Some fine folks at Epic Brewing Company and local roasters will be happy to tell you their thoughts Saturday at BREWED starting at 10 a.m. Be sure to eat a substantial breakfast beforehand, too, but skip the coffee; your price of ticket will cover your morning’s caffeine intake and then some.
If sours are more your thing and you can’t get enough of that Brettanomyces bug, get over to World of Beer Cherry Creek to enjoy their sour beer Saturday at noon until the wee hours of Sunday. Tickets can only be bought there, too. Get ready to pucker up.
To wrap up the weekend, CAUTION: Brewing Co. is celebrating the opening of their second location in Lakewood with a promising good time Saturday at noon. And don’t forget, our favorite Denver Broncos are playing the New England Patriots at 1 p.m. Sunday. If you’re planning on watching it away from home, scope out your seats nice and early. No one will judge you for drinking before noon.
Well, at least we won’t.
