At 7 p.m. OMF will tap the second release of Winter Warmer, a beautifully complex 10% abv Old Ale. This crowd favorite has notes of fruit, dark chocolate, roastiness, toffee, & black currant. The standard recipe Winter Warmer will be pouring, as well as two limited batches of the same: Winter Warmer on oak and cherries & Winter Warmer on Madagascar Vanilla and Novo Coffee.
To mark the birth date of OMF, all seven members of the OMF team created a personal recipe for a Staff Tap Takeover. OMF will tap 10 gallon batches of each style beginning at 7 PM. The list includes a Black IPA, All Galaxy Hop Red ale, Blood Orange Wheat ale, Dubbel, Hoppy Saison, Cream Ale, and a NY Maple Syrup Porter. Tasters and full pours will be available.
Bridge Street Holiday Ale Celebration

The Bridge Street Holiday Ale Celebration with Crazy Mountain Brewery starts tonight at Tavern on the Gore with live music by Johnny Shleper, Rob Eaton Jr. and Mark Levy and then hit up Samana for music by Deejay Koncept from 9-11 p.m. Proceeds benefit The Education Foundation of Eagle County.

Oskar Blues CANiversary

Oskar Blues celebrates its 11th anniversary and the grand opening of its Lyons location after the devastating September floods. Live music by Rocktin Grove and the West Water Outlaws, rare Oskar Blues beers, food specials fund-raising for the CAN’d Aid Foundation’s Colorado Flood Relief Fund, which has raised more than $250,000. Tickets are $10 plus fees.

Lone Tree Anniversary

Lone Tree Brewing Company celebrates its second anniversary with special tappings and other festivities at the tasting room. The Colorado Craft Beer Show with John Turk will be on hand from noon to 2 .m., live music with the McKenzie Bros from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m, food from WongWayVeg and Brava! Pizzeria, and a new Lone Tree brew tapped once every two hours. Many will be special one-offs and will only be available during the celebration.
BeerAdvocate Winter Warmer Pub Crawl
LoDo, Denver | 11-10 p.m.
BeerAdvocate co-founder Todd Alstrom has relocated to Denver and has brought a Boston tradition with him – an annual December pub crawl featuring high-octane beers and fellowship with fellow craft beer lovers. The day starts at Lucky Pie LoDo then moves on to Great Divide, Star Bar, Jagged Mountain and Falling Rock.
River North Avarice Release Party
River North Brewery, Denver | 1 p.m.
For 2013, the River North brewers blended Avarice aged in a number of different whiskey barrels, some of which have held the Belgian-style Imperial Stout for 14 months. The result is a decadent and opaque brew which melds the robust dryness of the base beer with smooth, sweet notes of whiskey and oak. In total, the brewery will release 105 cases of individually numbered bombers. The lowest numbered bottles will be sold in the taproom, with the beer on tap for the release party as well. More cases will land on store shelves around Colorado the following week.
Parade of Darks

A holiday tradition, the highly anticipated Parade of Darks is a showcase of beers in the amber to opaque categories. Featuring over 80 beers from 35+ breweries, this event raised over $14,000 for Metro CareRing last year. Participating is sure to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy, as your ticket gets you a commemorative glass for unlimited sampling, and 100 percent of the ticket price will be donated.
