Pints for Prostates
McNichols Civic Center Building | 1 p.m.
This celebration of beer passion and craftsmanship takes place in Denver during the Great American Beer Festival weekend. Proceeds from the event support the Pints for Prostates awareness campaign. Like GABF, this event is already sold out. However, it doesn’t hurt to poke around homebrew message boards to see if someone intending to travel from out-of-state for GABF had purchases Pints tickets that are no longer of use.
Avery Barrel-Aged Bikeride
Starts at Falling Rock | 11-5 p.m.
Simply put: a day of bicycle touring and beer tasting at five of Denver’s best beer bars. At each stop you will get a 4 oz. pour of something super rare and barrel-aged, an 8 oz. of something refreshing and palete cleansing, and a playing card. The top poker hand at the end will win prizes. Ride starts at Falling Rock, then progresses to Highland Tap & Burger, Euclid Hall, Lucky Pie, and Star Bar. This event requires a bike, helmets are also a good idea.
What the Funk?!
Sherman Events Center | 6-19 p.m.
Crooked Stave is hosting the inaugural What The Funk?! – an invitational festival showcasing all things barrel-aged, wild, sour, and funky. These beers push the boundaries of style, often blurring the lines between beer, wine, and spirits. Crooked Stave has invited 30(ish) brewers from across the U.S. to pour exciting barrel-aged and most creative beers in a forum where these beers are best highlighted! With the brewers on hand to talk about the beers, this is sure to be a unique event amongst the many quality events throughout the week.
It Started With a Beer…
Renegade Brewing Company | 7-9 p.m.
Renegade was built on the passion of people coming together over beer. There’s nothing quite like a good beer shared with old or new friends. Renegade wants to put aside profits and get back to what its loves – sharing beer with you. On Friday, all beer served at Renegade will cost $1. Bring a friend and a few bucks, and share a pint.
Hardcore/Softcore with Avery Brewing Co.
Star Bar | 10 p.m.
Avery Brewing Company’s “Hardcore & Softcore” party is returning to the Star Bar – right smack in the G spot of GABF! Spend an evening exploring your ABV, because we’re going big and we’re going small. Eight of Avery’s crafty creations, split right down the middle. We’re talking 4.2% ABV to 17% ABV. Hardcore: Double Dry-Hopped duganA, Samael’s, The Kaiser, Tweak; Softcore: 4Point2 Pale Ale, Bolder Weisse, Lilikoi Kepolo, Joe’s Pilsner.

GABF Happy Ending Breakfast Reboot
Ale House at Amato’s | 11-1 p.m.
By Saturday morning we will all be feeling like we’ve been beaten with a sack of oranges and that a pack of coyotes used our mouths for a port-o-potty. Well fear not, brave GABFers, Lagunitas is there to set you right and help get us all through the home stretch. The good folks at the Ale House at Amato’s will be hosting Lagunitas on its unrivaled rooftop patio Saturday morning from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Lagunitas will have its favorite breakfast beer, Cappuccino Stout aged in High West rye barrels, homemade donuts and MASSAGE FUKIN THERAPISTS on hand to rub your livers back into fighting shape. A couple hours with Lagunitas and you’ll be right as rain.
River North Brewery’s Empty the Cellar Party

The finale! The Empty the Cellar Party at the River North Brewery taproom! Everything barrel-aged or rare will be on tap, including Anniversary Ale #1, Barrel Reserve 2013, whiskey-aged Hello, Darkness Black IPA, Rum Barrel Quandary, with more additions to be added soon!
German Beer Brunch with Prost Brewing

GABF got the best of you? Throw on your comfiest robe, slip into your fuzziest slippers and hit the Robe One Out party and bar crawl at Freshcraft, Lucky Pie and The Pour House Pub in Denver. Avery’s Robe One Out party starts at 10 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 12, at all three locations – Freshcraft, Lucky Pie LoDo and The Pour House Pub. A limited supply of Avery embroidered robes will be available for purchase at all three bars. Purchase an Avery robe and you get a free beer. Or wear your own robe and be one of the first 30 through the door and you also get a free Avery beer. Rare Avery beers and Tap Room exclusives will be on tap at all three locations.
