Fresh Taps: Sept. 25th-Oct. 1st

Welcome to Fresh Taps. Each week Shea collects the most promising lineup of new and returning beers hitting taprooms and tasting rooms all over the state.

Wild Woods Brewery New and rare beers are everywhere this week! From the Western Slope to the Front Range, you’ll find something tasty to suit your fancy. Whether it’s a firkin release or an anniversary party (see Eddyline in Buena Vista and Wild Woods in Boulder), there’s a lot going on this week.

Shea’s Spotlight Tappings

Each week I’ll pick 2 or 3 tappings that catch my eye, and taste buds.

River North Rum Barrel Quandary Head over to River North Brewing this Saturday to taste their newest barrel-aged project, the Rum Barrel Quandary. They’ve taken their quad and aged it in rum barrels, which should be quite the treat. And if you want to take this special brew to someone special (or back to your cellar), you’re in luck – River North will be selling the Rum Barrel Quandary in bombers as well.

And while you’re in that part of town, might as well head over and give a big warm welcome to Epic Brewing’s grand opening on Saturday, 9/28 at 3001 Walnut Street. Their new home will have 25 taps and will be home to firkins and other goodies. You can check out their opening day tap-list at Brewtally Insane.
