Fresh Taps: Sept. 18th-24th

Welcome to Fresh Taps. Each week Shea collects the most promising lineup of new and returning beers hitting taprooms and tasting rooms all over the state.

Lowry Beer Garden Oktoberfest If you’re a fan of Oktoberfests, then this week (specifically Saturday) is for you! This week’s tappings signify the end of summer beers and the takeover of fall beers. Which Oktoberfest release will you be checking out? Well if a märzen isn’t your thing, do not fret, as there are plenty of other beers being released out there including Odell’s Mountain Standard Double Black IPA or the last weekend of New Belgium’s Lips of Faith being tapped at Parry’s Pizza (Castle Rock).

Shea’s Spotlight Tappings

Ska Autumnal Mole Denver Release Party & Seasonal Stout Tapping Each week I’ll pick 2 or 3 tappings that catch my eye, and taste buds.
This Thursday Freshcraft in Denver will be serving up all of Ska Brewing’s seasonal stouts. That’s right, not only will you be able to get fall’s Mole Stout, but also get the Estival Orange Cream Stout, Hibernal Vinifera Stout, and Vernal Minthe Stout.

But where will I be this week? I can assure you that Sunday I’ll be at Avery Brewing for the release of their Rumpkin. This massive pumpkin ale is aged in rum barrels, which makes for a great pairing to the pumpkin and spices.
