Crooked Stave Launches in Arizona, we’ve got pics to prove it

Denver sour beer aficionado’s Crooked Stave Brewing doesn’t produce a ton of beer – they can only age around 400 barrels at once – yet the mystique of their Surrettes have caught on and moved past the state’s borders. Thanks to Pitcher of Nectar Distributing, Crooked Stave will now be enjoyed in Arizona. Last week Pheonix’s Angel’s Trumpet AleHouse hosted a launch party for AZ’s newest sour selections. We had fellow booze blogger Hoptography (visit the site, it’s the tits) attend on our behalf and return with some wicked photos of the event.

This is a big win for sour beer lovers in Arizona. Sour beers are ridiculously refreshing, and with how hot the summer is here, it blows my mind that sour beers is not are not a bigger thing. It blows my mind even more than our own local breweries are not cranking out at least a sour or two. Luckily we have some great up and coming small local breweries like DragoonBorderlands, and the soon to open Arizona Wilderness, who are working to change that. Either way though, I am very glad to have some Crooked Stave to choose from in Arizona.

Thanks for the mention guys. Glad I could help you guys out with some photos. I do believe Angel’s Trumpet just about sold out of the 6+ Cases they had on hand that evening. Crooked Stave is definitely a brewery for you guys to be proud of.

    Cheers!

Not sure if you are only talking Surette but I walked by the box pile that night and it was at least 10.. We was thirsty! 🙂
