Jake Johnson (bearded) and Olivia Wilde (not-so-bearded) in Drinking Buddies.

He loves her, she loves him, they both love somebody else.

You just can’t win. So it goes.

Or so goes the story for Drinking Buddies, the brewery-based flick from Magnolia Pictures starring Olivia Wilde, Ron Livingston, Jake Johnson, and Anna Kendrick. It’s a love story, set in a craft brewery, and if we failed to bring it to you then what kind of blog would we be?

The rundown:

Kate (Olivia Wilde) and Luke (Jake Johnson) work together at a craft brewery. They have one of those friendships that feels like it could be something more. But Kate is with Chris (Ron Livingston), and Luke is with Jill (Anna Kendrick). And Jill wants to know if Luke is ready to talk about marriage. The answer to that question becomes crystal clear when Luke and Kate unexpectedly find themselves alone for a weekend.

Drinking Buddies will be on demand starting 7/25/2013 and will be showing in select theaters (read: likely Landmarks) on August 23rd.

OR you can watch Drinking Buddies with your drinking buddies at the Chez Artiste this Thursday (7/25) at 7:30 P.M. The studio has let loose a few seats for us to fill, and we want your butts to fill them.  For free. Less the price of popcorn.

How do you get in? Sign ups are now closed. Enjoy the show!

Also be sure to join us at Rackhouse Pub (208 S. Kalamath Street) before the screening. They are extending their happy hour specials that night for those who are headed to the screening. See you there!
