Epic Brewing Kicks off Colorado Distribution

While Epic Brewing is already a well-established name among beer geeks, the greater Denver-area has not yet had the fortune of sampling Epic’s award-winning lineup outside of select locations (e.g. Hops and Pie) and occasional festivals. That will change on Monday when Epic kicks off a week-long celebration to mark the beginning of its distribution throughout the state.

As with most big beer-related moments in Denver, Falling Rock Taphouse will be at the center of things and play host to the first of more than 20 events taking place from July 22-26. Epic and Falling Rock will get the celebration started at 5:30 p.m. with six Epic beers on tap including two of the famous “Brainless” series – Peaches and Cherries – and a Sour Apple Saison.

“We have worked hard toward this goal for nearly two years and we are so stoked to be part of the Denver and Colorado beer scene.” said Epic’s Co-Founder David Cole in a press release. “It is a big, exciting, step for us which allows Epic to become part of a great beer state, increase distribution and reach more craft beer drinkers.”

While not prominently throughout the week, the beginning of Epic’s statewide distribution will bring with it three new beers brewed exclusively at the new Denver facility. RiNo Pale Ale, so aptly named for the brewery’s neighborhood, is a premium pale ale highlighting Pacific Northwest hops varieties balanced with English malts while the awesomely coined Escape to Colorado IPA is a fruit and dank driven American style IPA that was dry hopped with Mosaic hops. Blue Ski Lager, a crisp Rocky Mountain lager with a clean noble hop profile, rounds out the trio of Denver-brewed and Denver-debuted beers.

Below is a select listing of Epic events throughout the week. Keep an eye on Epic’s website and Facebook page for information about more local events as it becomes available:
