Alliteration leads to some fun weekly events. Firkin Fridays are a great way to wind down the week and enjoy a beer of different flavor. Many breweries put some of their normal and not-so-normal offerings in a cask and serve it to you right off the engine. The following breweries and bars tend to have something to offer on Fridays:

Please join us for a FUN wine pairing and winery photographic art review, with the photographer, on Friday, April 12, 6-8p.m.

We will be pairing our Riesling, Chardonnay, Marv’lous and Zinfandel with a variety of dips and Chips. Bring a friend and enjoy connecting with others as you sip wine and vote on your favorite pairing!

The photographer, Curt Loomis, has traveled around the world photographing wineries and vineyards. He will be in attendance to talk about his photographs, discuss techniques, and sell prints at a reasonable price.

DAM Uncorked

Denver Art Museum

If you’re looking for something different to do this weekend, join me for the DAM Uncorked Wine Tasting and taste from the more than 300 wines from vintners around the world!

This Friday marks the 13th annual Uncorked event at DAM, and serves as the museum’s largest fundraiser, which supports exhibitions and programming. The event, presented by Applejack Wine & Spirits, is heralded as one of the best of the year for both wine aficionados and novices alike. In addition to imbibing the many lovely wines, guests will nosh on fine hors d’oeuvres from Kevin Taylor Catering. The tasting will take place from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, though for an additional $35, guests can upgrade to a ‘First Taste’ ticket and have access to all of the best wines before the main crowd arrives.

CopperMan Winter Adventure Race

Copper Mountain

Calling all Grizzly Adams and Madams — Time to pull yourself up by your longjohns and cross “run through a giant pit of hot chocolate” off your bucket list. The CopperMan winter adventure race is geared towards thrill-seeking snow-lovers ready to tackle the snow and sun during Copper’s Sunsation weekend. Participants will suit up in costumes and embark on the ~3K course through Copper’s base areas, finishing in Center Village where live music, a beer garden and outdoor food will await!
