Have you been out celebrating for Colorado Craft Beer Week? It’s like a mini-GABF out there. Go get some. Two events you might like, mainly because we’re involved: Legends & Rarities tonight at Star Bar, and New Kids on the Block tomorrow night at The Lobby.
Beyond that, there’s a bunch of beery events all weekend, and even some wine and “other”, like the US vs. Costa Rica World Cup qualifier tonight at Dick’s.
What’s your plan?
Colorado Craft Beer Week
All over the state
Colorado Craft Beer Week is a celebration of Colorado breweries, their beers and the people who brew them. Throughout the week, breweries and tap rooms all over Colorado will be hosting tappings, beer and food parings, tours and educational events. We are adding new events almost every day, so stay tuned…
Friday, March 22
Legends & Rarities
6pm – 9pm
This event celebrates the old guard, the behemoths, the forerunners. The Legends.
Guests will revel in the glory of 10 breweries. Each brewery will pour two beers: one legend, one rarity. Something that brought the brewery from infancy through to today, and something that makes the brewery desired by even the most devout of geeks. Representatives from the breweries will be there to tell you stories, answer questions, and touch their glass to yours.
Then, continue to revel in the classics with live rock n’ roll from Mid Life Crisis at 9:30.
Winter Warmer 2013 Bottle Release

On Friday, March 22nd 2013 starting at 2pm in the taproom, we will celebrate and conclude our first seasonal release of Winter Warmer by offering 100 wax dipped and hand numbered bottles (22oz).

The Rackhouse Pub prides itself on offering as many Colorado-made products as possible. We’ve facilitated relationships with many Colorado breweries and distilleries. The hard work pays off when we can offer you something special. We’ve got this special event lined up for Colorado Craft Beer Week 2013.
On March 22, 2013 at 4pm, we’ll be tapping AC Golden Brewing Company’s Hidden Barrel Apricot Sour. In fact, the Rackhouse is the only bar in the world to have this on tap! They only packaged 100 cases of this beer, and we’re honored to have such a special beer around.
Representatives from AC Golden will be on-hand from 4-7pm and will bring down some hidden barrel glasses to give to customers that purchase the beer that night, while supplies last.

New Kids on the Block
9pm – Close
Since January 1, 2011, 46 breweries have opened in Colorado. Six have opened so far in 2013. That’s absurd. It’s amazing. This state is just so full of beer. Might as well drink it all! And it’s being brought to you.
The party is called New Kids on the Block. It’s an 80s party. Every new brewery was invited. So far, 22 are in. More will soon follow. Tickets are $19.86. That comes with two free beers. And a DJ. And a costume contest. And it’s an 80s party.
12pm – 2pm
Beer? Check. Yoga? Check. One might have to call it BrewAsanas.
Could two things like these ever co-exist? You bet your flexible-ass they can! BrewAsanas takes a rocking one hour yoga class and follows it up with a brew in a local brewery.
Ladies, use this as an opportunity to get your beer drinking mate out to stretch those limbs…and fellas, BrewAsanas is a lighthearted introduction to Vinyasa Yoga practice and the delightfully palatable world of beer.
We will begin BrewAsanas by enjoying a one-hour vinyasa flow yoga class taught by Adrienne Rinaldi of Elevate Yoga. We move through a fluid sequence of postures (asanas), focus on our breath (pranayama), that invigorate, strengthen and restore the body. After, pay particular attention to our tastebuds as we make our way into the tap-room and enjoying the body, texture, and flavor of delicious beers from local breweries with BeerSnobChick.
This all levels class is ideal for anyone who is interested in exploring yoga in a relaxed environment and look to expand their minds in respect to local beers! Each session is $20 and includes a 1-hour yoga session followed by a pint of your choice. Mats will not be provided.
Ticket are $20, and can be purchased by card or cash at the door.
