Much like Christmas decorations going up on Labor Day, it appears Festival Season is kicking off a few months early. That’s a terrible analogy. I’m sorry.
There are four sizeable fests this weekend: The Wine Festival of Colorado Springs, Copper Uncorked, Frozen Dead Guy Days, and SnowBall Music Festival. None of them are in Denver. All of them look awesome.
Our friends at ImbibeDenver have a SnowBall after party: SnowBrunch.
Tickets are now available for three ridiculous events in the next three weeks. Colorado Craft Beer Week, March 18-24, is fast approaching, and we’ve got two special events for you: Legends & Rarities and New Kids on the Block. A mere two weeks after that, DStill is going to rock your face off April 1-6, with a craft spirits showcase on April 3.
So much awesome.
Know about something that we missed? Have an event coming up? Send it our way: email@example.com.
See below for a detailed list for weekend events. Check out our full calendar to plan your events well into the future.

Wine Festival of Colorado Springs
The Wine Festival of Colorado Springs, the premier wine festival in the Front Range, will feature The Wines of France, March 7-9, at The Broadmoor, Garden of the Gods Club and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. All proceeds from this event benefit the FAC.
For the first time in the 22-year-history of the Wine Festival, the Wines of France will be featured and a distinguished line-up of guest winemakers will be on hand, including Claude Gaudin of Vitigestion, Christian Beyer of Emile Beyer, Charles Lazzara of Volio Vino Imports representing Kermit Lynch, Nate Slingsby of Robert Kacher Selections and James Adams of The Sorting Table.
Over the course of modern history, every wine producing country has compared itself to France. The standard bearer for the world’s wine industry, French wines are considered the benchmark in many styles, like Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne.
“We think we are presenting the best wines ever offered at the Wine Festival,” said Jim Little of Coaltrain Wine & Spirits and member of the organizing committee. “And that’s saying a lot because we’ve served a lot of great wines over the years. Our guests, our French wine experts and distinguished chefs, are knowledgeable, approachable and personable … second to none.”
Festival goers will have the opportunity to visit with the wine makers and learn insider tips at several wine and food seminars, two auctions, a Grand Tasting at The Broadmoor and a Gourmet Wine Dinner at the Garden of the Gods Club with specially-discounted rates at both luxury properties.
Adults over 21 only. Identification is required for admission.
Unpretentious. Unexpected. Unexpensive. Ok, we know that isn’t a word. And we also know that Copper Uncorked brings the quirky Copper spirit to winter wining and dining. Vino and vittles all for a value. How’s that for alliteration? And how’s that for a fun weekend?

Learning to Taste
4pm – 6pm
A Bottled Affair
Sometimes all you need to take a hobby or interest to the next level is a bit more knowledge. That’s what ‘Learning To Taste’ is all about. Led by Certified Sommelier and wine writer, Ashley Vaughters, we’ll taste at least 5 distinctly different wine styles and analyze what makes them so different. Guided in part by your Wine Aroma Wheel (yours to take home) you’ll learn about the interaction between your sense of taste and smell, as well as how to pinpoint the flavors and aromas that you love (or don’t love) in a glass of wine. We’ll also cover the basics of how to identify a wine that is ‘corked’ or otherwise gone bad and what to do about it. Seating limited; advance purchase required.
