Weekend off the Wagon – March 1-3

blazing_saddles2 Weekend off the Wagon in your inbox, every Friday

It’s a relatively quiet weekend for events, but it’s Denver. So, you know, you’ll be ok. Strong Ale is sold out, but your buddy owes you a favor. Right?

Whiskey and a movie with Blazing Saddles just sounds like the right thing to do tonight. What’s your plan this weekend?

Know about something that we missed? Have an event coming up? Send it our way: events@denveroffthewagon.com.

Talons Challenge

Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek’s most advanced runs from the Birds of Prey across Grouse Mountain to Larkspur Bowl make up the Talons terrain, which is certain to test even the most experienced skiers and riders. Beaver Creek has established “The Talons Challenge” as the standard for taming the terrain. This program is exclusively offered to students of the Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard Schools or during our one-day public Talons Challenge event on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013.

For the 10th year, Talons Challenge will be showcasing the best steeps Beaver Creek has to offer. Over 26,000 vertical feet of Black Diamond and Double Black Diamond runs await on Beaver Creek’s legendary World Cup Birds of Prey downhill course, Grouse Mountain, and in Larkspur Bowl. Conquer all 14 runs and earn your spot on the Talon’s Wall-of-Fame.

The event is limited to the first 1,500 registrants. Last year’s registration sold out, so register early to make sure you secure your spot on March 2nd!

Included in your registration fee (Advanced Online – $35 / Event Day via Cash – $40) is a free bratwurst and either a beer or a non-alcoholic beverage. All finishers will receive a commemorative 10 year Talons Challenge ball cap, a commemorative Talons Challenge pin, lanyard and credential, and a chance to win amazing prizes at the après party raffle at Red Tail Camp.
