Weekend off the Wagon – February 8-10

Chocolate chocolate chocolate!

Chocolate chocolate chocolate!

Weekend off the Wagon in your inbox, every Friday

Chocolate. That is the theme for the weekend. You can’t throw a beer without hitting some chocolate. Also, don’t throw beer.

This weekend is full of chocolate, winter carnivals, and Mardi Gras. Design After Dark is tonight at the McNichols building. Victor Wooten is at Cervantes Saturday night, and there’s a Beers, Brats & Bras event at Sol Lingerie Sunday.

So basically, go drink like you’re in New Orleans and eat too much chocolate.

Art of Winter

Larimer Square

An annual snow-inspired exhibition featuring Colorado artists and innovators expressing their passion and creativity in their everyday works.

A three week series of Exhibits | Events | Panels, Art of Winter is a Colorado story – a story of winter serving as inspiration for ideas, art, music, design, innovation, business and of course recreation.

Art of Winter was first unveiled in January 2011 as a collaboration between Something Independent and Larimer Square. The event was set against the backdrop of the SIA snowshow convention, the largest of its kind in North America bringing 20,000+ snow industry brands, designers, manufacturers, company founders and athletes to Colorado.

Art of Winter presenting partners have grown to include the Denver Theatre District and Arts & Venues Denver. Media partners have included 5280 Magazine, Westword and Skiing Magazine.

2013 will be the third year of Art of Winter and with each year the collaborations and partnerships grow. From January 25th – February 10th, the City of Denver will be transformed into a winter wonderland.
