Firkin Friday

Various Breweries

Alliteration leads to some fun weekly events. Firkin Fridays are a great way to wind down the week and enjoy a beer of different flavor. Many breweries put some of their normal and not-so-normal offerings in a cask and serve it to you right off the engine. The following breweries and bars tend to have something to offer on Fridays:

Great Divide
Dry Dock
Hops & Pie – Crooked Stave Surette Saison (2/1)

Truffled pretzel sticks with Ellie’s Brown Ale cheese sauce paired with
Lebeweizen ~ A dark wheat beer brewed in honor of Taylor and Danielle’s wedding. A fine Dunkeweizen with notes
of banana and rich malt.

2nd Down
Blood orange and candied walnut glazed pork wings with stilton cheese dressing paired with
Hog Heaven Barleywine ~ A hop lover’s delight, the intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced
for a caramel candy-like malt backbone.

3rd Down
Captain’s crunchy quail with smoked cheddar biscuit with pear jam and maple butter paired with
Bolder Weisse ~ Tart and refreshing, Avery’s homage to the German sour beers of old. Aged for 6 mo. in oak barrels and
served with a side of pear syrup to add until you find your perfect balance of sweet and sour.

Dessert nachos: cheesecake plate with crispy pastry chips paired with
Odio Equum ~ Rare sour ale brewed with red raspberries and aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.

Super Tailgate with Oskar Blues

4pm – 7pm

Sporting News Grill

Third Annual Super Sunday Tailgate with our friends at Oskar Blues Brewery. Gameday classics paired with Osker Blues Brews and the big game on our 17 HDTV’s.

To describe our Gameday Menu as delicious would be to describe Michelangelo’s Creation of David as “a good drawing,” Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina as “a nice read,” or Scarlett Johansson as “fetching.” That’s simply a disservice to humanity. You’re better than that.

The way our Signature Wings can balance a beautiful crispiness with supple moisture and are finished masterfully with a sauce with such depth of flavor, you can get lost in them. The Uber Nachos are larger than Bono’s ego, smothered in pork green chili, fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. The SNG Bloody Mary is blended with our house-infused cucumber vodka with a suspicion of smoke and a kiss of spice.

Pair all of this with an Oskar Blues Canned Beer Apocalypse, and we’ve got something special on our hands….
