PJ’s Top Three Events of 2012

wagon wheel and growler
2012 was a year. A full one. With lots of awesome things. Distilling it down to a few moments is hard, but I’d have to pick three events that really stood out for me and the Wagon. In chronological order:

Denver off the Wagon turns one

Did you come to our birthday? We sort of went big. Real big. After brewing and releasing one of my own homebrew recipes with Wynkoop – Wagon Ryed – we delivered it to bars all around downtown Denver on the back of a horse drawn carriage, I went on live radio and mentioned the availability of vagina hops, and then we drank Star Bar’s beer cellar dry.

Denver Bacon & Beer Fest

A lot of things happened between our birthday and December, but I can only pick a few things, right? Bacon & Beer was amazing for so many reasons, two of which being the fact that we had bacon and beer. In one place. At the same time. It was the biggest event we’ve had a major hand in, and from that point on all I can think about is big events under the banner of the Wagon.

Denver [only] Beer Festivus

Speaking of big events, a mere 6 days after Bacon & Beer we threw another party. Eighteen breweries from Denver, 450 of you crazy fools, and a dance party to boot. I had a ridiculously amazing time, and I had about a beer throughout the day in the midst of running around. It seemed like you all had a pretty swell time as well.

So basically, the highlights of the past year involved hosting parties. I guess in 2013, we’ll have to throw a few more get togethers.

Happy New Year everyone, and thank you for all your support. Buckle up, 2013 is going to be a blast.

PJ likes beer. A lot. And whiskey. Gin. Wine. Cocktails. Um.. what were we talking about?

  • Alexandra Deitz

    virgin hops, perhaps?

Nope, I said it right the first time. Vagina hops. It’s a story.
