Circling up the Wagons – Week of 12/16/-12/22
Happy Holidays, booze hounds! If your seasonal festivities have been anything like ours, then you are likely dead tired and drunk off egg nog. Fret not, in a few days it will all be over. No longer will you have to huddle in the masses of your rarely-sought extended family. Nay, you will be back here in time for the New Year, right? Denver is a kick ass city to celelbrate New Year’s in.
You just have to make it through Christmas first. I have faith in you.
In the meantime: here are some highlights that you might have missed this week:
- Procrastinating like the best of us? You can still drum up a gift if you hit the liquor stores today. Lindsey has a few ideas on home-made brew packs
- Last week the Brewer’s Association weighed in on the “Crafty” style beers that macro breweries were producing. We weighed in on it, what do you think?
- Denver is considering open-container areas for the downtown areas. Which would be useful, especially around the New Year festivities. Peter dug up some research for us. Where would you like to see an open container district?
- And, yes. We are still recovering from the Denver Only Beer Festivus. The next one will be bigger. So big, it might be worth starting a new blog over.
On Tap for this week? Naturally, a few ideas of how to make this New Year’s a celebration worth remembering (or, in the right light, not remembering) as well as the top posts of the year determined by you, our readers. And maybe, if you’re good, a peek into what might be coming our way in 2013.
