Booze lovers watch out. There’s a new tequila in town. Tanteo Tequila is taking you beyond traditional tequila with interesting and fun infusions. With tequilas made from 100 percent agave, Tanteo includes tropical fruits, jalapeño, and cocoa.
Tanteo Tropical will surely take you on a stroll down the beach with the ocean lapping at your heals. Tanteo infuses this blanco tequila with fresh mango, quanabana, and pineapple with hint of jalapeño.
Tanteo takes 6 different jalapeños and infuse them at different levels, then add them to the blanco to get a great balance of mild jalapeño flavor that blends well with the agave base.
After roasting and malting raw cocoa, Tanteo takes this blanco tequila and infuses it to get a dark chocolate flavor with a peppery finish.
The one thing you’ll notice about Tanteo’s tequilas is that they are just as comfortable being mixed into a spring or summer cocktail as they are standing alone as sippers. When looking for them in cocktail form, you can check out local restaurants Mezcal, El Diablo, El Camino, or Tamayo to name a few. (I’ve even seen a cameo appearance at Star Bar Denver.) Downtown Tropic (Cosmopolitan sub Tequila)
1 3/4 oz. Tanteo Tropical Tequila
3/4 oz. Cointreau Orange Liqueur
1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup (or agave nectar)
Splash of Cranberry Juice
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice
Shake well and strain into a chilled Martini glass (or on the rocks)
Garnish with a lime wedge
