Rails & Ales Brewfest Coming Soon
Time for a word analogy; fill in the blank. Bark : Dog :: Chug Chug : _________. If you answered “train,” congratulations—you’re an innocent soul with a firm understanding of onomatopœia. If you answered “what my frat brothers chanted when I downed three pitchers of PBR at Toga Party ‘99” then you’ll probably die young but die a champ. If, however, you were undecided and wavered between the two then there’s an event you should know about: Rails & Ales Brewfest from the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad.
Hop the train in Alamosa and ride it over La Veta Pass to your mountain meadow destination. Enjoy over 20 regional breweries, gnaw on some savory BBQ, groove to the music (courtesy of The Rifters and Chuck Pyle) at the boxcar stage, and gape at our state’s natural wonders. Is there anything that screams “Colorado” more than craft beer, BBQ, trains, and mountains?
The train leaves at 9:30am on Saturday, June 23rd. Tickets cost anywhere between $69 and $169 (depending on how fancy you want your train car to be) and can be purchased at the Rio Grande website.
