We are proud to announce that our crazy little gin brand is being acquired by Spring 44 Distilling. In turn Rob has accepted the position of Chief Ethanol Savant (Head Distiller) with the new distillery currently being built in Loveland, Colorado.
“I am forever grateful to the people of Boulder Distillery for allowing me to launch and maintain Rob’s Mountain Gin over the last year. The decision to make this move did not come easy as I will miss everyone in Boulder. Also a big THANK YOU to all of our customers who have been so loyal to the brand since we launched just over a year ago. I am very excited to get things up and running in Loveland, so the million ideas for new products jumping around in my head can find a home on your shelf.” – Rob
Spring 44 engaged Rob back in 2010 to develop their original formulas. Now they are in the process of building a new state of the art facility in Loveland and have appointed Rob to run the distilling operations and new product development. Spring 44 differentiates itself by using Rocky Mountain artesian spring water that bubbles out of the ground on the founder’s land. The spring is located west of Fort Collins in an extremely remote location at high elevation. It’s some of the rarest water in the world and perfect for high-end spirits.
Spring44 currently makes vodka, honey vodka and gin. All three products were awarded triple-gold medals at the 2011 micro-distiller competition. Since then, all three products have received medals in the San Francisco Spirits Competition, the Denver International Spirits Competition and a five star vodka rating from Spirits Journal Magazine. Spring 44 is currently available in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Colorado.
We are working on plan for the future of Rob’s Mountain Gin but do not have all the details ironed out yet. If you have any questions about this transition or have problems finding product please do not hesitate to send us an email email@example.com
Star Bar in Denver will be hosting a “Transition Party” this coming Wednesday night May 9th. Rob will be guest bar tending and making cocktails highlighting the old and the new from 6PM on. For more information check out the Star Bar website here.
