Strawberry Sweet Lady Cakes
Dudes, it’s motherfucking sweet lady beer season again. If you know me at all you probably know that Colette is one of my favorite beers and I fondly refer to it as Sweet Lady beer. To celebrate the release of this years batch I did what I do: made cupcakes.
Makes approximately 24 cupcakes
Cupcake:
- 2 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 120z Colette
- 2 eggs
Frosting:
- 1 lb butter room temperature
- 3 cup confectioner’s sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries pureed
Now since this recipes uses the full 12oz bottle of delicious sweet lady beer, go ahead and crack another for yourself because gosh darn it people like you. Blend all ingredients for the cupcakes in a large bowl. Beat until smooth. Pour batter into lined cupcake trays. Bake at 375 for 13-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes come out clean. While cupcakes bake, combine all ingredients for frosting in a large bowl. Beat until stiff. Once cupcakes are cool, simply frost and enjoy!
