If Germany is beer heaven, Belgium is beer Disneyland. This tiny country the size of the state of Maryland is home to more than 400 beers. Come sample some amazing brews from one of the most diverse beer cultures in the world. Learn the background, characteristics, and history while tasting beers that represent the major styles of beer in Belgian brewing. Your host, Charlie Gottenkieny, is a certified beer judge who has been judging beer competitions for over 18 years. He’s also an amateur home brewer if you can call him that after winning over 100 medals and ribbons for his brews. He’s the only person to ever win the American Homebrewer Association’s Homebrewer of the Year award twice.

Saturday night kicks off with a wine tasting, food and live jazz from Paul Glover Trio. Sunday night you don’t want to miss the chef demo, wine pairing and catered dinner.
My Bloody Violent-Tine Horror Film Festival
3 Kings Tavern
My Bloody Violent-tine 2012 Film Festival consists of: the Screens with Screams Film viewing and the Fright Masters award ceremony Saturday February 18th, 2012. The events occurs at 3 Kings Tavern, 60 S. Broadway, Denver Colorado 80209.
At the Viewing & Award Ceremony viewers will be put on edge with a Short Horror Film Festival where Colorado filmmakers will show their talents utilizing five different genres. The evenings will provide a showcase of films, music, dancing and Denver’s bloodiest emcee. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in full costume as their favorite horror movie character or casualty. Paper Dolls pinup photography company will offer studio photography services for zombie pinup vixens and their victims. After showcase, awards will be given for the best films in several categories.

Blues singer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Otis Taylor is capable of exploring any musical mood at any given time, and it’s an important reason why he is considered one of the most talented artists to emerge in recent years. “Sometimes pigeonholed as a bluesman, Otis Taylor can’t be defined by any single category,” proclaims Spin magazine. According to Ann Powers at the Los Angeles Times, “Gentle upon first listen, blending the austerity of Delta blues with the expansiveness of free jazz, Taylor’s ancient-sounding, avant-garde ‘trance blues’ has a dangerous pull.” The Oxford American raves, “It might not be too early to call Otis Taylor a major talent.”

The Saturday tappings continue! When we open at 11 am on 2/18/12 we will be tapping Dogfish Head’s experimental beer/wine fusion – NobleRot. A saison made with viognier must that is infected with botrytis as well as pinot gris.
8th Annual Firkin Rendezvous

The Eighth Annual Firkin Rendezvous will feature one-of-a-kind cask ales from some of Colorado’s best microbreweries. Attendees will receive a commemorative glass, all you can/should taste, a chance to talk to your favorite brewers about your favorite beers, and complimentary food.
Tickets go on sale January 10th in the Bristol Tasting Room.
VIP tickets are $50 in advance. VIP entrance is at 1:00 pm.

Beer & Food Pairing Fundraiser for Breast Cancer

MaxFund Annual Chili Cook-Off

It will begin and doors open for chili tasting/judging at 1 pm and the judging will end at 3:00pm. There are four categories of chilis: red, green, vegetarian, and professional chef. The winners will be counted and announced in each category at 3:30pm with cash prizes for each winner!

The event is family friendly and non smoking during the event The Maxfund adoption van will be parked out front of delaneys during the event with many wonderful adoptable pets for everyone to meet.
All proceeds go to Maxfund, there will also be Maxfund merchandise for sale and drink specials at $4 for the beer of the month with $1 being donated to the shelter.
