Beer and Bluegrass in Keystone this weekend

Dercum Center to host 3 Day Winter Bluegrass Festival at Keystone’s Warren Station

KEYSTONE (January 5, 2012) – The Dercum Center for the Arts and Humanities is a non-profit based in Keystone Colorado developed to honor the zest for life Keystone pioneers, Max and Edna Dercum envisioned for what is now known as Keystone ski area. The Dercum Center has hosted a multitude of cultural events and is pleased to announce the First Annual Winter Bluegrass Festival at Warren Station.

Pug Ryans has been chosen as the local beer vendor for the event, offering local microbrew favorites at the bar. Keystone Neighborhood Company and Keystone Lodging are teaming up with the Dercum Center to provide lodging packages and a three day line-up of renowned Bluegrass musicians. The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, February 2nd: Willy Porter & The Mealies: Doors open at 7PM. “Porter is a dazzling acoustic guitarist with a moody baritone” – The Washington Post

Friday, February 3rd: The Mossgatherers, The Pine Beatles and The Haunted Windchimes, based out of Colorado “The Windchimes are beyond a reasonable doubt, one of Colorado’s most significant musical treasures.” – Colorado Springs Independent Doors open at 7PM.

Saturday, February 4th: The Steel Pennies and Finnders & Youngberg: “When it’s all said and done, listeners will suspect they’ve stumbled upon something special in Finnders & Youngberg.” – The Bluegrass Special Doors open at 7PM.

We will be offering $3 cans of Morning Wood Wheat and Pali Pilsner

Tickets $12 for advance online purchase and $15 at the door. Three day tickets will be offered at $30 (plus service fee) in advance or $45 at the door.
