Why we love this brewery: There are approximately 19 seats in the place and a butt in every one. The atmosphere is very chill, which is encouraged by Scott’s brewing philosophy. He wants to make approachable beer that people enjoy drinking, but can also be picked apart by the geeks. He does 40’s to go which are 40 oz. screw top aluminum growlers. I’m super clumsy, so this works perfectly for me.
Why readers should love this brewery: There is a definite local feeling here that you will appreciate upon visiting. Scott came from the Northwest where neighborhood breweries are the norm and it has rubbed off at Wit’s End. We’ve said this about a couple other places, but this is a small, one-man independent operation out of the garage and into business. It’s every beer lover’s dream. Plus, dogs are allowed.
Eating is cheating but here is what is close by: Nada – eat before you go. There are, however, bags of chips for $1 in a banana boat by the door.
When and if there are any special releases: Scott uses a 1 bbl system that you can see through a window in the back. It’s tiny so special stuff comes out whenever it’s ready.
Serviced by: Scott
Shwag available? T-shirts and growlers that fit 40 oz. and are shaped like hippie water bottles.
Listening to… Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre – Doggystyle
Other possibly relevant info: Scott is one of the nicest guys in town. Ask for a tour because the 1 bbl fermenters so CUTE!
