Tap room/Tour hours: M-F 2-8ish and Saturday 12-9ish. Ask nicely and you’ll get a tour if it’s not too busy.

Why we love this brewery: The bar top is made of hops! You can really tell that this place is a small independent and local operation. These guys love to brew beer and that is the only reason that they are doing it. When you are drinking their beer it’s completely appropriate to say, “Get some Strange tonight.”

Why readers should love this brewery: The tasting room is run only by volunteers so tip big! Every tenth beer or growler is cheep as free. One barrel Wednesdays where Harry from Black Sky Brewing and the Strange guys brew something special on their old one barrel system.
Eating is cheating but here is what’s close by: Random cheese steak tent out the garage door that is not as sketchy as it sounds and has great sandwiches. Strange also provides pretzels from local business Baker Street Pretzels.
When and if there are any special releases: Check out Hops & Pie for their special Hops & pIe PA as well as firkins every first Friday. We already said this but seriously come in on Wednesdays for one barrel Wednesdays. The next one is a Pale Ale with Agave Nectar, Rosemary, Oatmeal and Zythos Hops!
