Chai Stout Cupcakes

Last night I arrived home shortly after midnight, and like any good beer geek decided to celebrate #StoutDay the best way I know how: by making stout infused cupcakes.  For these guys I decided to stay local in both the beer and the booze for the frosting by using Ska Steel Toe Stout from Durango and Dancing Pines Chai Liqueur from Loveland.

#StoutDay Cupcakes

Cupcakes:

* 2 1/3 cup flour

* 1 1/3 cup sugar

* 2 tsp baking powder

* 1/2 cup softened butter

* 2 eggs

* 1 12oz bottle Ska Steel Toe Stout

Frosting:

* 6oz cream cheese

* 2 1/2 cup confectioners sugar

* 5 Tbsp Dancing Pines Chai Liqueur

Combine all ingredients for cupcakes together in a large bowl. Blend until smooth.  Pour batter into lined cupcake pans.  Bake at 375 for 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  Mix together ingredients for frosting in a large bowl.  Blend until smooth.  Once cupcakes have cooled, frost and enjoy!
