Weekend off the Wagon: August 19 – August 21
Friday, Aug 19, 2011 at 11:40 am by Jess Hunter
[Weekend off the Wagon in your inbox, every Friday]
If I had my weekend my way (with my multiple clones) these are some of the tracks I’d pick:
Track 1:
- Friday: Check out the Art & Ale Brew Festival
- Saturday: Meet up with the fellow Wagoneers for the Wagon Ride out to Dry Dock and come back in time for the Stapleton Beer Festival and finish with the Bike-in Movie—Toy Story
- Sunday: Stop by Bull & Bush for the Triple Imperiale and check out the Littlest Big Beer Fest at Hops and Pie
Track 2:
- Friday: Head to the Bluebird for Snake Rattle Rattle Snake CD Release Party
- Saturday: Check out the Colorado Wine and Music Train then jet over to the Cherry Creek North Food & Wine Festival
- Sunday: Farmers Market then the American Indian Art Show at Red Rocks then Rockies game
Track 3:
Spend the weekend at home and dig my face into this season’s Palisade Peaches at the 43nd Annual Peach Festival. And then I’d hang out at Peach Street Distillers, check out the wineries in Palisade and Grand Junction (Canyon Winds, Carlson Vineyards, Plum Creek, Two Rivers, Grande River Vineyards, etc etc), and share some pints at the breweries (Palisade Brewery, Rockslide Brewery, and Kannah Creek Brewing)
But that’s me with clones.
