American Harvest Vodka Launched at Euclid Hall

American Harvest, an organic vodka, debuted in Denver at Euclid Hall last Thursday, April 28th.  And for the first time since Martini Ranch had closed, Euclid transformed to the ambiance of its former occupant.  The back wells and tap handles were removed for the evening and replaced with bundled harvest stacks and American Harvest Vodka.  It was a ritzy affair, with bowties, suit jackets, and cocktail dresses abound.  Finger foods of king prawns, house-made boudin noir, oysters on the half-shell, cheddar gourgeres, strawberries and foie gras circled through the guests.  Even Denver Broncos’ Brandon Lloyd made a special appearance (and a grand toast, to boot).

Sidney Frank Importing Company has re-entered the vodka world with American Harvest.  Sidney Frank is the same importer that built the French vodka Grey Goose into a formidable market force (and sold Grey Goose to Bacardi Ltd for $2 billion in 2004).  It has acquired the USDA-certified organic distinction, is distilled and bottled in Rigby, Idaho, and distributed in Denver by Republic National Distributing Company.  RNDC also holds the Square One portfolio, another organic spirit run by CEO/Founder Alison Evanow.

As part of the Euclid Hall Launch Party, American Harvest sought out cocktail recipes from various Denver mixologists:

  • Very Berry Harvest with American Harvest, mint, blackberries and raspberries, agave nectar, and topped with ginger beer.
  • Honey Harvest with American Harvest, Barenjager Honey Liqueur, Domaine De Canton Ginger Liqueur, lemon juice, and bitters
  • American Harvest Classic Martini with American Harvest and dry vermouth
  • The Breitling with American Harvest, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and grapefruit bitters
  • Harvest Punch with American Harvest, Leopold Brothers Tart Michigan Cherry Liqueur, citrus, agave nectar, mint and basil

Here is the official press release of American Harvest:

New Rochelle, NY. – Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc., known for redefining the vodka category, is proud to introduce the next revolution in spirits; American Harvest.

Distinct Taste: American Harvest is organic vodka to which a proprietary blend of organic ingredients has been added, creating a truly unique vodka specialty. It’s a revolutionary way to look at the vodka category. The addition of these ingredients results in the distinctive, smooth, clean and crisp character of American Harvest.

American Made: American Harvest is handcrafted in small batches from organic winter wheat grown on a family owned and sustainably managed American farm.  It is distilled and bottled in Rigby, Idaho using water from aquifers deep beneath the Snake River plain.  The result is a distinctly smooth and silky spirit with a crisp, clean taste. American Harvest is the creation of Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc., a third generation family business that is 100% US owned and operated.

Quality: American Harvest has been developed with great care for the quality, organic nature and sustainable growing practices of all of its ingredients. It has no artificial additives or preservatives and is produced with a continuous column distillation process and charcoal filtration to ensure the integrity and purity of the spirit. The American Harvest Distillery is independently owned and operated and is USDA Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth.

“American Harvest is crafted with the same American values that this country was built on and that continue to drive the country forward today. Integrity, opportunity, independence, hard work, innovation and pride,” says Bill Henderson, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc. “American Harvest was built on a promise; from field to bottle, to create the finest quality product, without compromise to the environment or our nation’s natural resources.”
