Brew News from Mountain Sun

Mountain Sun (and Southern Sun and Vine Street Pub) announced some new brews coming our way:

Our brewers have been hard at work preparing for our spring releases.  Keep an eye out at all three pubs for the following seasonals:

Chupacabra: This year’s Vine Street Pub anniversary ale is an Imperial Mexican Lager brewed with agave nectar.  At 8.3% ABV, the Chupacabra is crisp and clean with subtle sweetness.  It will be unveiled at the Vine Street Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, April 20th at 4:20pm.

St. Amos Belgian Wit: This Belgian-inspired white ale is brewed with coriander and orange peel.  At 5% ABVSt. Amos is a refreshing, flavorful and complex ale perfect for sunny afternoons.  The heavy dose of flaked wheat used in the mash gives this beer its hazy appearance and creamy mouth feel.

Bombshell Blonde: This beer, which clocks in at 6.5% ABV was originally brewed to celebrate the second anniversary of the Vine Street Pub and has since become a regular springtime addition to our tap boards.  A special Belgian yeast provides complex flavors of fruit and spice balanced by a crisp, dry finish.

Chicken Hawk IPA: We brewed our first batch of this new recipe in late March, and it flew out of the pubs, so we’re brewing it again.  This Pacific Northwest style IPA is brewed with a limited addition blended hop variety called Falconer’s Flight and tips the scales at 7% ABV.
