Colorado Beer Week, April 8-16

The 1st ever Colorado Beer Week is just around the corner. April 8th kicks off the celebration of everything beer. Throughout the week there will be events highlighting some of the best beers from right here in Denver, the rest of Colorado, and even a couple out of state breweries, including Rogue and Alaskan.

The opening ceremony, at Blake Street Tavern, on Friday, April 8th, should be a fun time with some specialty beers from breweries including Great Divide, Ska, Strange, Oskar Blues, and Bristol, among others.

Another event sure to catch your eye is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13th. Cheeky Monk will be the host of a pairing of fresh oysters overnighted from Oregon with Rogue brews, including Double Dead Guy, Chatoe OREgasmic, Chipotle Ale & Hazelnut Brown.

Other events include a cruiser ride with Ska, a Lips of Faith tasting with New Belgium to be hosted at several venues around town, and an exclusive charity golf tournament at Pradera Golf Course in Parker.

About Kell Benson

Kell has been drinking non-stop since turning 21, and yearns to start a brewery. His life goal is to rope and ride a moose while under the Aurora Borealis. No regrets, that's his motto. That and everybody Wang Chung tonight.

I assume the Cheeky Monk event is at the Denver location only? (The CM web site is hopeless.)
