Sample more than 300 world wines at annual tasting and museum fundraiser

(Denver, CO) March 8, 2011 – Experience the art of wine with the return of the annual DAM Uncorked Wine Tasting April 15 at 6 p.m. The Denver Art Museum’s (DAM) largest fundraiser features over 300 premier wines from vintners around the globe, experienced alongside exquisite fare, a silent auction and live music. Mingle with other art and wine lovers and taste the “art of the vine.”
DAM Uncorked Wine Tasting includes helpful tasting guides and festive hors d’oeuvres from Kevin Taylor Catering at the Denver Art Museum for the savvy wine-drinker or the casual newcomer. World-class beers also will be featured throughout the tasting rooms. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the silent auction to bid on wine, hotel, spa and restaurant packages.
The Wine Tasting takes place Friday, April 15, at the DAM beginning at 6 p.m. Member tickets are $70, non-member tickets are $90, and designated drivers pay $35. Beat the crowd with First Taste tickets, providing early access to all the best wines. First Taste tickets are available for an additional $35 per person. Wine Tasting tickets will be available for purchase online at www.denverartmuseum.org/uncorked until 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.
The DAM Uncorked Dinner and Auction takes place Saturday, April 16, at 6 p.m. Guests will arrive for an evening of fine dining and exceptional wines, highlighted by both live and silent auctions. The DAM Uncorked Dinner and Auction is sold out. This year’s DAM Uncorked will honor Mariner and Megan Kemper for their many years of dedication and support of DAM Uncorked and the museum. Chairman and CEO of UMB Bank Mariner Kemper has been a member of the DAM’s Board of Trustees for the past 12 years, also serving as a key leader on the Board’s Executive and Development Committees. The DAM is grateful for their philanthropic efforts with the museum.
